Louisa Harvey

Louisa founded Harvey Medical Consulting in 2012. Louisa has an MSc in Industrial Pharmaceutical Science and began her career working in clinical trials. Louisa has a broad-range of experience working in both the pharmaceutical and medical device industries in technical and commercial roles. Having spent a number of years working with many of the Cambridge-based medical consultancies, she has inputted into the design of many different products from autoinjectors through to large surgical systems. Louisa's passion lies in the field of Human Factors ensuring that the right patients and healthcare professionals are at the heart of the medical device design process. In 2018 Louisa founded the Medical Human Factors Network UK.


Sheldon Pijpers

Sheldon is our usability site director in Utrecht. He is a very experienced and skilled medical device human factors consultant. Sheldon is tri-lingual and as such can moderate in English, Dutch or German. Sheldon graduated with a Masters Degree in Human Centred Multimedia from the University of Amsterdam. After graduating he went onto work for UL in Utrecht, and later contracted for Philips.

Julie Williams

Julie has worked with Harvey Medical since 2014 and is a very experienced member of the team having been involved in most Harvey Medical projects. She is a fantastic moderator and observer and enjoys every aspect of human factors. Julie graduated from the University of York with a BA in English and as such is an excellent report writer. Julie is particularly passionate about managing studies which involve vulnerable participants.

Kully O'Keeffe

Kully is PA to Louisa Harvey and keeps all aspects of the Harvey Medical Consulting office running smoothly, and acts as the first of point of contact for all queries.  She manages Louisa’s diary, organises meetings and appointments and arranges travel and accommodation.  She also assists Louisa and the team with the preparation and review of reports. Kully’s main responsibilities are also to manage bookings at The Hubble and work closely with the Viewing Facility Manager to ensure studies run smoothly.  Kully also implements and maintains procedures/administrative systems, manages all costs and the production of management information. 

Chris Rushforth

Chris is an experienced Human Factors Researcher and has been working within the medical device usability testing and quality management field for the past four and a half years.  

Jasmine Taylor

Jasmine is our viewing facility manager, ensuring the viewing facility is kept to the highest of standards in line with our 5/5 viewing facility association accreditation. Jasmine ensures all video files are recorded and saved appropriately and most of all makes sure that all the participants taking part in our studies feel as comfortable and informed as possible.
